Status: Concept Design for the Ministry of Trade commissioned by Iraqi Business Council in Jordan. This project was envisioned to use current Site of Baghdad Fair ground and turn it into World Class trade center with following Functions: 100,000M2 Exhibit space, 100,000m2 Shopping Mall, 7 office towers 12 Flrs high, 7 residential towers of 23 Flrs high, three international Hotels (5 star, 4 star, and 3 Stars) 50 Flrs, and 100 Flrs Iconic office Building housing Iraqi Ministry of Oil and All its companies HQ along with International Oil companies Iraqi offices and service contractors regional offices. The Area would become a free zone for International companies operating in Iraq, and they would be served by Helicoper service from Airport to BWT.
The project was envisioned to be a public share holding company (49% owned by Iraqi public, 51% owned by MoT(15% for land), Iraqi Business Council (10%), International leading developer 26%).
Total Value of project was expected to be $3.0 Billion.
